About Teen Challenge Oakland Men's Center

2221 90th Avenue, Oakland CA, Oakland, California
Since 1967, Teen Challenge Oakland Men’s Center has served men ages 18 and older struggling with drug use, alcohol, or other life-controlling issues. This residential program offers structure, support, and a safe space for healing. Open to patients from the Bay Area and across the country, the center provides a faith-based path to lasting change. Building a Life of Purpose Through mentoring, vocational training, spiritual guidance, and daily structure, men gain tools for emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. The program includes life-skills classes and biblical teachings, helping each man ...develop a strong foundation for sobriety, responsibility, and purpose. Most staff members are graduates, offering encouragement rooted in shared experience. Connecting with the Community The center actively engages with the local community through events, volunteer efforts, and outreach programs. Music teams, including the center’s choir, share messages of hope, while residents volunteer at events like the annual Easter Eggstravaganza. Public service and community partnerships help create strong, positive connections across the Bay Area.
