What Are Claimed and Confirmed Profiles?

Finding the right addiction and mental health treatment is essential. Access to accurate information empowers you to make informed decisions about your care, which is why we prioritize accuracy.

At Rehab Navigator, we follow a standardized process to ensure that treatment provider profiles on our site remain up-to-date and comprehensive. This includes claiming or verifying profiles, as shown by the checkmarks below.

What distinguishes a claimed profile from a verified one?

They follow different criteria. Claimed profiles undergo an initial quality review by a Rehab Navigator team member, while verified profiles must pass a more rigorous assessment conducted by Rehab Navigator’s Research Team. A profile must first be claimed before it can be verified.

Verified Accounts

Any provider featured on our site can achieve a "claimed" status. This indicates that at least one representative from Rehab Navigator has personally contacted the treatment provider’s staff to verify the details in their profile.

The following information is confirmed:

  • Treatment provider’s name

  • Admissions department contact details

  • Cost

  • Duration of stay

  • Establishment date

  • Capacity

How can I tell if a profile is claimed?
A checkmark next to the provider’s name on their profile page signifies a claimed status.

Authenticated Accounts

Rehab Navigator’s Research Team carefully reviews and verifies profile details, ensuring accuracy through trusted third-party sources.

The verification process includes:

  • Confirming licensing credentials

  • Checking relevant accreditations and memberships

  • Conducting a virtual tour to ensure the facility matches the images shown on the provider’s profile

How can I tell if a profile is verified?
A verified checkmark appears next to the provider’s name on both their profile and search results. All advertisers must obtain this verification.

Are you ready to begin?
It's quick, simple, and completely free!

Why Are Certain Listings Labeled as “Ad?”

Certain providers advertise with us to increase their visibility on our website. Every advertiser must be verified and approved by our Research Team to ensure their profile is accurate and complete.

We adhere to NAATP’s Marketing Code of Ethics for treatment providers. We do not charge for leads or referrals, and all advertisements are clearly labeled. Additionally, we do not display a central phone number, allowing visitors to contact treatment providers directly.

What happens if a profile is not claimed or verified?

An unclaimed profile means no one from Rehab Navigator has verified the provider’s information or contact details for completeness and accuracy. You can still view the center’s phone number and website. You can also reach out to them directly to learn more about their program.

How do I know if a profile is unclaimed?

Look for an unclaimed icon next to the provider’s name on their profile page.
